WWE SummerSlam 2017 Results (Complete)

WWE SummerSlam took place on Sunday, August 20th from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Among the featured matches were Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship and Brock Lesnar defending the WWE Universal Championship in a Fatal 4-Way match. Here are all of the match-by-match results from tonight’s WWE SummerSlam 2017 pay-per-view in Brooklyn, New York.

SummerSlam Kickoff Show:

The Miz & Miztourage defeated Jason Jordan & The Hardy Boyz via pinfall on the pre-show.

Neville defeated Akira Tozawa via pinfall to win the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

The Usos defeated New Day via pinfall for the tag team titles.

SummerSlam main PPV card:

John Cena defeated Baron Corbin via pinfall.

Natalya defeated Naomi via submission to become new WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion. Natalya put on the Sharpshooter to make Naomi tap. During the match, Carmella and James Ellsworth were shown watching backstage.

Big Cass defeated The Big Show via pinfall. Enzo Amore was locked in a Shark Cage above the ring. Late in the match, Enzo stripped down to his boxers and attempted to squeeze through the cage bars. He grabbed a bottle of oil and some gloves from his boxers and sprays oil on himself, then is able to squeeze through the bars. Enzo drops down to the ring but is met by a Big Boot from Cass. Cass hits a series of Big Boots on Big Show and then hits Empire Elbow for the pin.

Randy Orton defeated Rusev via pinfall. Orton hit an RKO within the first 10 seconds to drop Rusev.

Sasha Banks defeated Alexa Bliss via submission to become new WWE Raw Women’s Champion. Banks got the Bank Statement on to make Alexa tap out.

Finn Balor defeated Bray Wyatt via pinfall. Balor came out to the ring with his Demon entrance. In the match, Wyatt did his crab walk at one point but Balor stood up and let out a scream. Balor came back with several sling blades and then the Coup de Grace for the win.

Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins defeated Sheamus and Cesaro to become new WWE Raw Tag team champions. Late in the match, Cesaro and Sheamus double-teamed Ambrose. Cesaro went up top but Rollins got back to the ring apron and hit a huracanrana to send Cesaro flying into Sheamus. Rollins hit super kicks on both guys and then hit a jumping knee on Sheamus. Ambrose finished things by hitting Dirty Deeds on Sheamus for the pinfall.

AJ Styles defeated Kevin Owens via pinfall to retain the WWE United States Championship. Shane McMahon was the special guest referee. Late in the match, Owens got frustrated when Shane didn’t count his pinfall fully because Styles had a foot on the ropes during it. Owens yelled at Shane, then shoved him, so Shane shoved back. Styles had a near fall after that from behind. He followed up with a Phenomenal Forearm moments later to get the pinfall win.

Jinder Mahal defeated Shinsuke Nakamura via pinfall to retain the WWE Championship. Late in the match, Nakamura went for Kinshasha but Mahal avoided it. Jinder went for his finisher but Shinsuke countered and delivered a kick to his head. He followed with the Kinshasha to the back of Jinder’s head. Just then, The Singh Brothers get into the ring. Nakamura takes care of them but Jinder sneaks up behind him and hits his finishing move for the win.

Brock Lesnar defeated Roman Reigns via pinfall to win the Fatal 4-Way and retain the Universal Championship. At one point during the match, Braun Strowman slammed Brock through an announcers table and then pushed the table over on Brock. Referees and trainers had to check on Brock and pulled the table off him. EMTs came down with a stretcher and put Brock on to wheel him backstage.

Later in the match, Brock came back down the ramp to the ring and cleared Strowman out. He hit a German Suplex on Joe. Strowman came back in and Lesnar tried to put the Kimura Lock on him standing up but Reigns was there and hit Superman Punches to break it up.

Later it came down to Reigns and Brock in the ring. Roman hit multiple Superman Punches and Brock fell to his knees. Reigns set up in the corner for the Spear but as he charged Lesnar was ready and hit the F5 for the winning pinfall.
