The latest WWE SmackDown results for the September 17, 2015 episode are now available. The latest taping for the weekly SyFy program took place at Little Rock, Arkansas and was the final episode of the show leading up to WWE Night of Champions 2015 pay-per-view. Among the superstars who appeared in matches were Kofi Kingston, Big Show, Cesaro, Paige, Sasha Backs, Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.

The show opened with footage to recap the latest Raw on Sept. 14, 2015 involving Seth Rollins, Sting and John Cena in the main event. After the video package, Rollins delivered a promo about how he’s going to defeat two first ballot Hall of Fame superstars at Night of Champions. Rollins said tonight he’ll be doing the “unthinkable” as he teams up with the Money in the Bank contract holder, Sheamus to take on Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. Sheamus came out to remind Rollins to watch his back for a cash in at any time.

Naomi & Sasha Banks defeated Paige & Becky Lynch via pinfall. Late in the match, Becky made a hot tag to Paige. Paige rushed in and hit several knees on Naomi in the corner, then went for a RamPaige. Sasha got on the apron to distract. Becky yanked Sasha down, but Paige was rolled up by Naomi from behind for the winning pin.

Backstage, Team Bella was shown planning out Nikki Bella’s “Bellabration” for having the longest reign as Divas Champion in WWE history. Brie went over a checklist of various items that were going to be there for the celebration including enough champagne to go “Brie Mode.” Nikki was insisting that they’d have the Kardashians as guests, but Alicia and Brie couldn’t tell her it wouldn’t be happening.

The New Day came out prior to a match to cut a promo about having a petition to “Save the Tables.” During a match, Kofi tried to hand the petition clipboard to D-Von, but he broke it over his knee and threw it aside.

Kofi Kingston defeated D-Von Dudley via pinfall. At one point, D-Von was distracted in the match as Woods and Big E were pulling a table out from under the ring. D-Von pulled Woods into the ring but that distracted him allowing Kofi to get the rollup pin from behind. Post-match, New Day went backstage carrying a table with them.

Big Show defeated Cesaro via pinfall. Show connected on his WMD punch to get the pin.

Kevin Owens defeated Dolph Ziggler via disqualification. Ryback rushed in to attack Owens at one point, causing the disqualification. Ryback had Owens up for Shellshocked but Owens got out of it and left the ring, then headed backstage.

Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose defeated Seth Rollins & Sheamus via pinfall. Ambrose hit Dirty Deeds on Sheamus to get the pinfall win in the main event match of SmackDown.
