Among the stories are the return of Chad Gable to American Alpha as his tag team faces The Usos, The Miz having to defend his Intercontinental Championship and a contract signing between Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss for No Mercy. Below are all of the latest WWE Smackdown results!

wwe superstar dean ambroseDaniel Bryan was in the ring for a contract signing. He told the fans the women’s title would be defended for the first time in three weeks at No Mercy PPV. He told them he knows how these contract signings can go but they’re going to keep it civil tonight. He introduced Becky Lynch and then Alexa Bliss. Bliss criticized Becky as being a born loser and that after she takes her title away she can go back to being the plucky underdog who never quite gets it done. Becky talked about how she grew up in a small house on the side of the street in Dublin and started believing she could be anything she wanted to be. She said she wants this more than Alexa and if she thought she was going to take it from her, she’d rip her head off.

Alexa told her at No Mercy she’d expose her for the one hit wonder she really is. She took the contract hard folder and then smacked Becky in the face with it. Becky fell to the mat. With Becky down, Alexa signed the contract then turned the table over on Becky before leaving the ring. As Alexa was heading up the ramp, Becky came rushing out and hit her. Alexa got up and Becky chased her up the ramp before Alexa went backstage. Lynch went back to the ring and signed off on the contract.

Backstage, The Miz and Maryse went up to Daniel Bryan. Miz complained over his title match he had tonight. Bryan said he’ll cancel it, but then they’d have to cancel Miz’s new contract. He told him he got exactly what he wanted, a new contract in exchange for having to defend the IC title.

The Usos defeated American Alpha via pinfall to become No. 1 contenders for the Tag Team Championship. Chad Gable was back after being injured by The Usos ahead of Backlash. Late in the match, Jordan was the legal man in. He got control and put Jey on the top rope then went for the top rope suplex. Jordan got shoved off. He jumped up to try again but headsets sent him down. Jimmy made the blind tag to Jey. Jey hit the Superkick and then Jimmy hit the Splash. Gable rushed in to break up a pinfall. Later, things broke down and Gable got knocked to the outside. The Usos hit the double Superkick on Jordan for the pinfall win.

Baron Corbin defeated Apollo Crews via pinfall. Jack Swagger was on guest commentary. Late in the bout, Crews had a near fall. Corbin delivered some kicks and then sent Crews out of the ring. After some forearm shots he put Crews against the ring post and drove both feet into his ribs. In the ring he hit End of Days for the win. Post-match, he went over to stare down Swagger. Corbin some said words and walked up the ramp backstage.

They had a backstage promo with Naomi and Nikki Bella talking about how they were going to advance the Women’s Division. They spoke about Natalya and Carmella, their opponents for later.

Dolph Ziggler was interviewed by Renee Young. He talked about how Miz is desperate to keep the title but he’s also desperate to prove he still belongs in WWE. Ziggler told someone “hit my music” and then went to make his entrance for the IC title match.

The Miz defeated Dolph Ziggler to retain the Intercontinental Championship. At one point in the match, Maryse tried to use the spray can on Ziggler but the ref saw it and ejected Maryse from ringside. Later, Ziggler hit a Zig Zag late for a near fall. Miz went out of the ring and snatched up his belt, trying to leave. Ziggler interrupted him and threw Miz into the steps. Miz was able to recover and found the spray can that Maryse had left. He sprayed Ziggler with it in the face when the ref was distracted. Miz hit Skullcrushing Finale in the ring for the win to retain.

Randy Owan defeated Erick Rowan via pinfall. Orton tried for the early RKO but Rowan avoided that and hit a spinning powerslam. He dropped a few elbows on Orton and hit a bunch of moves on him in the corner. Things went to the outside with Rowan still in control. As they got back into the ring, Orton was quick to hit his draping DDT with Rowan trying to get in. He finished him off with a quick RKO for the pinfall win. Post-match, The Wyatt sounder went off and the lights went out. When they came back there was a sheep mask in the ring with Orton. Wyatt appeared on the big screen and did his speech about “till death do them part.” He said the unfortunate thing for Randy is he can die, but Bray is a God and immortal. Run.

Natalya and Carmella vs. Nikki Bella & Naomi ended in a no contest. Nikki and Nattie started things off in the ring. Nattie knocked Naomi off the apron to the floor. Nattie put Nikki in a Sharpshooter but Carmella yanked Nikki out of the ring to beat her up. The ref called for the bell.

Styles got interviewed backstage. He said neither Ambrose nor Cena are his rivals because he’s already beat both of them. He said he was put in the Triple Threat because the only way he can lose the title is by not being pinned himself. He said tonight he’ll sit back and watch as Ambrose and Cena tear each other apart.

Dean Ambrose defeated John Cena via pinfall. AJ Styles watched on guest commentary. Late in the contest, Cena charged towards Ambrose only to get knocked through the middle rope to the floor. Ambrose ran the ring and dove out on Cena for the suicide dive. Back in the ring, Ambrose hit a Crossbody off the corner, but Cena rolled through it and then hit the Attitude Adjustment. Cena made the quick cover but got a near fall. He went for another AA but Ambrose hit Dirty Deeds for a near fall of his own. The two competitors fought as they got to their feet with punches. Ambrose went for his Lunatic Lariat but Cena countered and went for the AA. Ambrose countered that and got a quick rollup pinfall on Cena for the win.

Post-match, AJ Styles quickly came off the side ropes to hit the Phenomenal Forearm on Cena. He got in the ring and hit a Pele Kick on Ambrose. Daniel Bryan came out from backstage and reminded Styles what Shane McMahon promised last week: a one-on-one match between Ambrose and Styles for the title. He said that will happen next week. Styles was irritated and as he turned around, Ambrose was ready with the Dirty Deeds to put him down.
