Here are all of the latest match-by-match results for Tuesday’s show.
Breezango & New Day defeated The Colons & The Usps via pinfall. The close saw New Day put a double team move on one of the Colons where Woods jumped off the corner to take down the Colon with a double stomp to the chest as Big E held him. The commentators reminded fans The Usos defend the tag titles against New Day at Sunday’s MITB PPV.
Backstage segment with Styles, Nakamura and Zayn talking “strategy” for later.
MoJo Rawley backstage when Zack Ryder came in to tell him they have unfinished business as a team.
Naomi defeated Tamina via pinfall in a non-title match. Lana came out to watch the match. Tamina had some big moves late, but Naomi yanked Tamina off the corner to the mat and then hit a moonsault on her for the win. Post-match, Lana attacked Naomi and laid her out with sitout power bomb. She stood up and held up the women’s title belt to admire it, then placed it on top of Naomi on the mat before walking off.
The Singh Brothers came out on stage and introduced Jinder Mahal who made his entrance to the ring. Once in there, he told the fans to stand up and show respect for their WWE Champion. Jinder said he’ll show the world on Sunday that Orton is a coward and afraid to let down his hometown and family. He said he’s mentioned Orton’s father by name and Orton still won’t come face him because Randy is hiding like a garden snake. He said the day of the viper is over and it’s the new era of the Modern Day Maharaja. Orion’s theme music came on. The Singh Brothers left the ring to head up the ramp to stop Orton, but he came into the ring from the other side of the crowd and quickly hit an RKO to drop Mahal. Orton slid back and out of the ring as The Singh Brothers got in to check on Jinder. Orton went into the crowd where fans took selfies and cheered him on.
Charlotte defeated Natalya via pinfall. The match lasted about seven minutes total. Towards the close, Charlotte climbed the corner but Natalya went up and power bombed her to the mat for a near fall. Charlotte countered Nattie’s Sharpshooter attempt and hit a big boot followed by Natural Selection for the win.
Lana did a backstage interview with Dasha Fuentes who asked about her attacking Naomi out there and causing controversy since she’s arrived to SmackDown. Lana said she doesn’t care what she or the WWE Universe thinks, she’s going to become SmackDown women’s champ on Sunday.
They had a Fashion Files segment in black and white. Fandango was checking out his pecs in the mirror thinking he couldn’t wait to show them to his main man Breezy. He wondered where Breezy was and walked down the hall. Tyler Breeze was shown laid out in their office. Fandango kicked him to ask what happened. Breeze said two guys attacked him. He described them slightly to Fandango who drew on a piece of paper then showed Breeze the sketch. He said “That’s them!” and they left to look for the guys. The camera focused on the sketch of two stick figures.
Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura & AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens, Baron Corbin, and Dolph Ziggler via pinfall. During the match, the heels did a good job of isolating Zayn to keep him away from a tag. Later, Corbin tossed Zayn into his partners’ corner but it caused Ziggler to get bumped off the apron. Zayn fought back and ended up clearing the heels from the ring, but as he finally went for a tag, Owens and Ziggler had pulled Nakamura and Styles off the apron. The action broke down as Styles hit a big forearm on Corbin and then Sami hit the Helluva Kick to get the pinfall win.
Post-match, everyone got into it with ladders. Ziggler and Owens used a ladder together to hit AJ and Sami. Corbin came in and ran into Owens, causing him to knock Ziggler out of the ring. Corbin set up a ladder and went up to get the briefcase but Shinsuke Nakamura came in and pushed the ladder over against the ropes. With Corbin down, Shinsuke set up the ladder, climbed it and pulled the briefcase down to close SmackDown.
