This first match set the time to beat for the other team’s match. Towards the close of this one, The Colons set up a double team move on Gable but Jason Jordan rushed in to knock one of them out of the ring. From there, Alpha hit Grand Amplitude for the pinfall at the 5:17 mark.

Dasha Fuentes tried to interview Becky Lynch backstage about her old rival Charlotte coming to SmackDown. The group of Natalya, Tamina, Carmella and James Ellsworth showed up. They said either Becky is with them or against them when it comes to their stance on Charlotte. They told her “choose wisely” before they walked off.
Randy Orton defeated Erick Rowan via pinfall in a no disqualification match. Rowan had the upper hand on the outside when he took part of the steel steps and smashed it against Orton. Back inside the ring, he propped a steel chair in the ring corner and whipped Orton towards it. The Viper stopped short. Rowan charged at him, so he stepped to the side and shoved Rowan into the chair head first. From there, Rowan stumbled back and Orton hit him with a quick RKO before taking the pinfall win. Post-match, Orton got on the mic to tell Bray Wyatt that the House of Horrors match will be his personal hell.
Jinder Mahal came out to the stage and yelled at Orton for disrespecting him. He said Orton needs to be worried about him because he has more wealth, talent, class and culture than anyone in the arena. Jinder said Orton’s like all the rest of the people who disrespect him because he looks different. He said he disrespects him because of arrogance and lack of tolerance. After getting into the ring, Jinder promised to take back the respect when he takes the glory of the World Championship back to his people. Mahal cut a promo in his own language about Backlash. Jinder went to hit Orton but The Viper fought back. He set him up for the draping DDT through the ropes but the Singh Brothers rushed into the ring and grabbed Orton’s legs. Orton went to fight them off, but Jinder went over and hit Orton on the back, then followed with his finisher to lay out Orton. From there, Jinder left the ring with the WWE Championship belt and raised it overhead on the ramp.

That means Breezeango will head to Backlash to face The Usos next month for the titles.
Charlotte vs. Naomi for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship ended in disqualification. The close saw Charlotte gain control and go to the top rope for a reverse moonsault. Naomi got both knees up to block it, but then took some time for herself to recover. Naomi started to get up near the ropes but just then Carmella and Tamina slid into the ring as Natalya yanked Naomi out of the ring. As the heels attacked, the ref called for the bell. Back in the ring, Tamina, Natalya and Carmella attacked Charlotte to leave her laid out on the mat. The crowd chanted “We want Becky,” but Becky Lynch didn’t show up. SmackDown ended with the new heel women’s stable backing up the ramp smirking.
