WWE Raw Results for 8/10/15

The latest WWE Raw results from the Monday, August 10th episode of WWE Raw live from Xfinity Arena at Everett, Washington. Among the superstars appearing or in action are Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins, John Cena, Roman Reigns and Randy Orton. The show also included the continued buildup towards WWE’s August pay-per-view, SummerSlam 2015.

Seth Rollins came out for the opening promo to brag about breaking John Cena’s nose and putting him out of action. He said that Cena can go to Brooklyn and forfeit the US Championship, making Rollins the first ever to hold both belts at once. Rollins had a fake photo shown on the big screen of Cena with Rollins mouth in place of his to move while Rollins did the voice. Cesaro came out to interrupt and said he was there to accept the open challenge for the title. Rollins said that was last week and a one time deal, not tonight. Kevin Owens came out and said if anyone deserves a title shot it’s him because he defeated Cena before, but Rollins lost to Cena two weeks ago. Randy Orton came out and said he has it on his own authority that he deserves the title shot. Eventually, Triple H’s music it and he came out saying he takes exception to Rollins not caring what The Authority thinks. He said Cena is 50/50 in terms of appearing at SummerSlam for the match. He booked Orton vs. Cesaro vs. Owens in a Triple Threat with the winner getting a title shot versus Rollins later tonight.

Nikki Bella, Brie Bella & Alicia Fox defeated Sasha Banks, Naomi and Tamina via pinfall. Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch were on guest commentary. Brie got into the match at one point and got the crowd going as she hit kicks similar to Daniel Bryan’s. She eventually was able to score the winning pinfall on Tamina. Post-match, the losing team attacked, but Paige, Charlotte and Becky ran down to fight them. The Bellas left to ringside to watch as the other two teams stared each other down in the ring before Team BAD eventually left.

Big E and Kofi Kingston defeated Los Matadores via pinfall. Xavier Woods and El Torito were at ringside for their teams. Prime Time Players were shown backstage watching the match. The win came when Big E hit the Big Ending on Fernando for the pinfall.

Backstage, Renee Young interviewed New Day. Woods said they have now cemented their status as the #1 contenders for the tag team titles. Young informed them they’ll be in a Fatal Fourway match for the titles at Summerslam against Los Matadores, Lucha Dragons and the champions Prime Time Players.

Randy Orton defeated Cesaro & Kevin Owens via pinfall in a Triple Threat match to earn a WWE World Heavyweight title match on Raw. Cesaro had control late on Owens, but he ran into a superkick. Owens went for the Pop-Up Powerbomb but Cesaro went over top of him. Orton hit an RKO that sent Owens to the outside and then hit an RKO on Cesaro to get the pinfall win. Rollins was shown backstage chuckling as he watched the ending of the match.

They showed a video package with various superstars commenting on the Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar match for SummerSlam. Among the commenters were Big Show, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, JBL, Triple H and Paul Heyman.

Luke Harper defeated Dean Ambrose via pinfall. Prior to the match, Harper took away commentator Byron Saxton’s chair so Bray Wyatt could sit ringside. Roman Reigns was at ringside for Dean Ambrose. Late in the match, Ambrose and Harper went to ringside. Ambrose ended up sending Wyatt over the broadcast table. Wyatt managed to recover and went after Ambrose, but he avoided him. Reigns hit a Superman Punch on Wyatt. Harper attacked Reigns but Ambrose dove on him. Later, Ambrose got tripped on the ropes and was hit by a spinning clothesline from Harper for the win.

They had a MizTV in ring show with Miz interviewing Daniel Bryan. The two bantered about how Miz takes credit for Bryan’s success, when in fact it was Bryan’s own hard work that got him there. Miz brought up Bryan getting injured and said he’s never experienced that and wonders what it’s like. He said Ryback should do the honorable thing like Bryan did and forfeit the IC title by canceling the Triple Threat match at Summerslam. Out came Big Show to trash talk Miz asking if he really thinks he can win the IC title. Ryback came out and stared down Big Show in the ring. Bryan and Miz were ringside, where Bryan grabbed Miz and tossed him into the ring. Miz got squashed between the two big men and then Ryback clotheslined Show to the outside. Bryan handed over the IC title to Ryback to finish off the segment.

Rusev and Mark Henry fought to a no contest. Lana was on commentary and attacked Summer at one point. Summer rolled Lana into the ring and she was where Rusev was standing. Summer attacked Lana from behind and the ref called for the bell. Summer slammed Lana face first into the mat a few times. Rusev told her to crush Lana and she put The Accolade on her.

Neville defeated King Barrett via pinfall. Neville won a quick match when he hit the Red Arrow for the win. Post-match, he was attacked by Stardust. Stardust spotted actor Stephen Arnell sitting ringside and went out to taunt him. Arnell jumped over the barricade and attacked Stardust. WWE Security intervened to hold Arnell back.

Later backstage, Triple H spoke to Stephen Arnell, asking if he’s okay and Arnell said he was. HHH said he’s lucky he walked out of there because he isn’t a participant in the ring. Neville was there and said Stardust started it. Arnell asked HHH to let them deal with Stardust. Hunter said Arnell isn’t “one of us.” Arnell said he gets it but he’s an actor and also a man, so when someone puts his hands on him, he’s going to fight back. Hunter eventually gave in when Arnell said he’d sign anything the lawyers wanted him to sign. HHH booked Arnell and Neville vs. Stardust and Barrett for Summerslam.

Randy Orton defeated Seth Rollins due to disqualification. The match was for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Sheamus came to ringside during the match. Rollins kicked Orton late and went for a Pedigree but Orton avoided it. Rollins tried a springboard move, but Orton was ready and hit an RKO on him. He had what seemed to be a good pinfall, but Sheamus pulled Orton out of the ring, causing a DQ. Post-match, Sheamus beat up Orton at ringside and got in the ring. He hit Rollins with a Brogue Kick then handed the Money in the Bank briefcase to the referee. Orton was right there again as Sheamus turned. Orton hit the RKO to drop Sheamus. Cole noted that the bell never rang so the MITB contract wasn’t cashed in. Orton stood tall as his music played to end Raw.
