Welcome to the WWE Raw results for the Monday, September 12 episode. This week’s installment of the pro wrestling show on USA Network was held at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. The show would continue the buildup towards Raw’s exclusive pay-per-view Clash of Champions. Among the superstars in action would be Sasha Banks, Bayley, Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens. Reigns and Owens were set to compete in a match where Reigns could get a spot in the title match at the pay-per-view. Below are all of the match results for the latest episode of WWE Raw!
The opening segment featured Mick Foley talking up Clash of Champions and the women’s title. Charlotte and Dana Brooke came to the ring with Charlotte making Dana apologize for causing her to lose to Bayley last week. Dana did so. Sasha Banks and Bayley came to the ring. Foley announced the two would compete later on for a shot at Charlotte at the PPV. Charlotte got mad and turned to Brooke, saying it was all her fault. Dana finally slapped her. Foley announced that Dana will be part of the match too and the winner faces Charlotte at the pay-per-view.
Sasha Banks defeated Bayley and Dana Brooke in the Triple Threat match to become No. 1 contender for the WWE Women’s Championship. Sasha had the Bank Statement on Brooke late, but Bayley kicked her to break it up. Bayley hit her finisher on Brooke and had the pinfall, but Sasha came over and rolled up Bayley for the pinfall win. Sasha stared down Charlotte post-match.
Backstage, Tom Phillips spoke with Kevin Owens who said Phillips probably wants a controversial soundbyte. He said he would never say things like Rollins is jealous of him, or Reigns doesn’t belong in the same ring. He said he’ll walk out of the PPV as champ. Chris Jericho came in and talked about how Foley took Owens off the Highlight Reel. He said instead his guest will be Sami Zayn and he’ll show the world who he really is.
Bo Dallas defeated Brandon Scott via pinfall. Dallas did a rhyme promo about “Bo-Lieve in Bo” ahead of the match. In the bout, he won easily, eventually hitting a neck breaker on the amateur competitor.
Jericho had Sami Zayn on the Highlight Reel. The two went back and forth in the segment with Jericho accusing Zayn of being jealous of Owens as longest reigning Universal Champion. Zayn asked what happened to Jericho because he was part of the reason Owens and himself travelled the world to make it where they are now. He said now Jericho is just Owens’ “b—h.” Jericho got irked. He said Owens sent him a text to tell him what Zayn would say. He went to show him the phone but instead slammed it on Zayn’s head and then hit a Codebreaker on him.
They announced earlier in the show that Cesaro had won the fourth match in his Best of Seven series with Sheamus to make it 3-1 Sheamus.
Cesaro defeated Sheamus via pinfall to win the fifth match in the best of seven series. Late in this one, Cesaro put on a Sharpshooter. Sheamus got to the ropes to break it. Cesaro went for his Swing move, but seemed to tweak his back. Sheamus hit the Irish Curse for a near fall. He set up for another big move but Cesario slipped off. He dodged Sheamus when he charged at him. From there, Cesaro rolled up Sheamus and used the ropes for extra leverage on the winning pin. That makes it 3-2 now in favor of Sheamus.
Nia Jax defeated Alicia Fox due to referee stoppage. In her first match on the roster against a seasoned opponent, Jax defeated Fox. Late in the match, Fox scored a kick on Nia but Jax recovered. She grabbed Fox by her hair and tossed er against the barricade several times. Moments later, she threw Alicia into the timekeepers area. Jax headed backstage before there was any sort of announced finish.
Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows defeated Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods via pinfall in a non-title match. Late in the contest, Woods had an elbow drop off the top rope on Anderson. He had the pinfall but Gallows came in to break it up. Later, Anderson kicked Woods before he and Gallows teamed up for Magic Killer to get the win.
Jinder Mahal defeated Jack Swagger via pinfall. Swagger went for a Swagger Bomb late. Mahal got his knees up to block it. From there, Mahal hit a finishing move and then got the pinfall win.
Epico defeated Enzo Amore via pinfall. Cass and Primo were ringside. Enzo was on the top rope but Primo came over to distract. Cass delivered a big boot to Primo to level him. Epico dove out onto Cass but then Enzo went up top and dove out onto Epico. He tried to suplex Epico back in the ring but Primo was back up and tripped Enzo. He helped hold down Enzo’s leg so Epico could get a pinfall win.
They had a backstage segment where Universal Champion Kevin Owens was walking. Seth Rollins walked up to him and said he wouldn’t dream of putting hands on him. He said he wants Owens to win so he gets a one-on-one match with him. Owens suggested he thought he’d want Reigns in the match so he could do all the work and then Rollins could sneak in to steal the glory. Owens said Rollins always has help and Triple H finally saw the light and realized Owens is better. Owens kept up the trash talk but eventually Mick Foley came into the picture. He told him that’s enough and said there will be consequences if Rollins gets involved in the main event.
Kevin Owens defeated Roman Reigns via pinfall in a non-title match. A win for Reigns would put him into the Universal Championship match with Owens and Rollins at Clash of Champions. During the match, Owens got control by running Reigns into the barricade and into the ring steps. Seth Rollins rushed out and attacked Owens from behind for a DQ. Rollins kept punching away on Owens. Mick Foley came out to get in Rollins’ face. Rollins told him he does what he wants and Foley told him he’ll do what he says. He said he asked him for one favor and he couldn’t do it, so now they’re gonna have to talk. Finlay got in between them to prevent a physical altercation. They went backstage. Foley said the match won’t end that way and restarted it.
Later on, Reigns went for a Spear but Owens caught him with a knee. Reigns followed with a Superman Punch. Owens hit some cannonballs on Reigns and went for his finisher. Reigns avoided it and was able to slam Owens for a two count. Suddenly, Rusev showed up. Reigns saw him and hit him with a Superman Punch. Owens used the distraction to hit a Popup Powerbomb on Reigns for the win.
Post-match, Rusev attacked Reigns some more. Lana was on stage holding the United States Championship belt. After several moves, Rusev put the Accolade hold on Reigns. He finally released it and stood tall to end Raw.
