Welcome to the WWE Raw results for Monday, September 4th, 2017. The latest episode of the weekly professional wrestling program took place in Omaha, Nebraska. Among the featured matchups were Jeff Hardy vs. The Miz for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, and Jason Jordan vs. John Cena. Below are all of the quick match-by-match results and highlights for the latest show.
John Cena defeated Jason Jordan via pinfall. Cena hit the AA in under 12 minutes to get the win.
After Cena’s win, Roman Reigns came to the ring. He and Cena had words again talking about why they don’t respect one another and how they will be the one to win at No Mercy.
Sheamus & Cesaro defeated Rhyno & Heath Slater via pinfall. Sheamus hit a Brogue Kick on Rhyno to get the win.
The Miz defeated Jeff Hardy via pinfall to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship. The Miztourage was ejected during the match but not Maryse. She came into play later as Jeff went for a Swanton but Maryse grabbed Miz to get him to roll out of the way. Miz was able to avoid Twist of Fate and countered with Skull Crushing Finale for the win.
Enzo Amore, Gran Metalik, and Cedric Alexander defeated Noam Dar, Tony Nese, and Drew Gulak via pinfall. The match went five minutes with Enzo hitting Eat Defeat on Gulak for the win.
Finn Balor came to the ring and cut a promo about Bray Wyatt costing him a shot at the IC title. He said the next time Wyatt appears he’ll be ready because he doesn’t run from demons he “becomes them.” Wyatt appeared on the big screen and talked about how Balor needs to define his legacy and make a choice. Wyatt wondered if Balor will run like a scared rabbit when they meet at No Mercy PPV.
Nia Jax and Emma defeated Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss via pinfall. Kurt Angle made a stipulation earlier that if Nia and Emma won they’d be added to the title match at the No Mercy PPV with Sasha and Alexa. Nia hit a leg drop late in the match and Emma got the pinfall on Sasha for the win. Post-match, Jax acted cool with the win and gave a high five to Emma before hitting a Samoan Drop on her.
Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose defeated Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson via pinfall in a non-title match. Sheamus and Cesaro tried to interfere in the match late but Rollins and Ambrose were able to fight them off. Rollins shoved Anderson into Cesaro at one point and then rolled up Anderson for the pinfall. Post-match, Anderson and Gallows got into it with Sheamus and Cesaro who were able to clear them from the ring.
Braun Strowman defeated Big Show via pinfall in a steel cage match. The main event went for nearly 17 minutes. At one point towards the end, Show went up on the ropes and Strowman got up to hit him with a punch followed by the big Superplex. The ring didn’t collapse from the move due to it being reinforced earlier on. Strowman got up and screamed before hitting a power slam on Show for the pinfall. Post-match, Strowman cut a promo about what he just did to the giant and asking the crowd what he’ll do to Brock Lesnar. He looked ready to leave but instead turned his focus back to Show for a big power slam through one of the cage walls. He left Show laid out as referees checked on a wincing Show as Raw ended.
