WWE Raw Results 07/24/17 for Washington, DC Episode

Welcome to the WWE Raw results for Monday, July 24th. This article will feature the quick highlights and results for the latest episode of Raw from the Verizon Center in Washington, DC. The latest show set up more of the upcoming matches for WWE SummerSlam 2017 including the Universal Championship match. Below are all of the latest results and highlights for Monday’s episode of Raw.

wwe superstar roman reignsKurt Angle came to the ring for the opening segment to announce who would face Brock at Summerslam. He was interrupted by Braun Strowman who made his case for it. Samoa Joe was out next to interrupt followed by Roman Reigns. They eventually got into it in the ring with Strowman clearing the ring. Reigns managed to hit a double spear on Strowman and Joe. Eventually, Strowman recovered and powerslammed Reigns. It was announced there will be a Fatal Fourway at SummerSlam for the championship.

Elias Samson defeated Finn Balor via pinfall in a No DQ match. Balor had control late and hit Samson with the Coup de Grace. Wyatt’s sound effect went off and the lights went out. When they came back on, Bray was in the ring. He grabbed Balor for Sister Abigail to plant him on the mat. Samson crawled over and made the pinfall cover. Post-match, Wyatt did his crab walk over to Balor and said words to him before striking his crucifix pose near him.

Big Cass defeated Enzo Amore via pinfall. Enzo put up a fight including a sleeper hold at one point. Cass ended up gaining control and dropped elbows on Enzo repeatedly before hitting a big boot for the win. Post-match, he went to do more damage until Big Show came out. Cass threatened to hurt Enzo if Show got any closer then threw Enzo at Show. He was able to deliver a big boot on Show to drop him, then hit several Empire Elbows. Show got to one knee and slapped Cass in the chest, but then Cass knocked him down again by kicking him in the gut.

Backstage, Alexa Bliss was interviewed and asked who her preference is to face at SummerSlam. Bliss said she’s not worried about SummerSlam. Bliss said that after tonight Bayley and Sasha’s friendship will implode. Alexa said Sasha always thinks she’s the best at everything and Bayley could end up sitting him crying while her best friend gets a title shot.

Nia Jax defeated Emma via pinfall. The match was a squash lasting just near a minute and a half. Jax hit a summersault splash onto Emma for the win.

They had a segment where Akira Tozawa came to the ring with his shoulder taped and called out Ariya Daivari for attacking him. Instead, Neville came out and claimed to be responsible for injuring Tozawa. He got in the ring and stood face to face to him saying Tozawa is now a joke and a shell of his former self. Tozawa got upset and attacked Neville, then hit a top rope senton on him. Daivari showed up and attacked Tozawa putting him down with a clothesline. He did the same on Neville, then grabbed his Cruiserweight belt to hold for a bit.

Bayley defeated Sasha Banks via pinfall to become new No. 1 contender for the women’s title. Late in the match, Bayley set up for a superplex on the ropes but Sasha blocked it. She dropped Bayley face first from the ropes and hit a Frogsplash from the top for a two count. Bayley kicked out and rolled Sasha over to get a winning pinfall. Post-match, Bliss came to the ring and held up her title belt as she and Bayley had some words.

Jason Jordan defeated Curt Hawkins via pinfall. The match lasted just under two minutes. Jordan charged at Hawkins in the corner at one point. From there, he tossed him in the air and hit a neck breaker for the pinfall win.

The Revival defeated Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson via pinfall. The match lasted 8:35 total. During the match, the Hardy Boyz came to ringside, distracting The Revival. Anderson and Gallows tossed them out of the ring. They motioned for the Hardys to get in the ring. Instead, The Revival was able to get back in and hit Shatter Machine for the win. Post-match, the Hardys got in the ring to fight with The Revival. They cleared out Dawson and went after Wilder. Matt hit a Twist of Fate and Jeff set up for a Swanton but Dawson pulled Wilder out of the ring.

Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins defeated The Miz, Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas via pinfall. At one point,┬áMiz hit a Skull Crushing Finale late in the match and had the pin on Ambrose but Rollins came in to break things up. Bo went after Rollins, who tossed him under the bottom rope. All of the heels ended up at ringside, so Rollins and Ambrose gave each other looks then hit a double suicide dive out onto the heels. Miz got back in the ring. Ambrose went in and Miz hit a DDT for a near fall. Miz went for the Skull Crushing Finale again, but Rollins came off the ropes with a high knee. Ambrose grabbed Miz and hit Dirty Deeds for the win. Post-match, Ambrose and Rollins celebrated. Seth gave Ambrose a hug and tried to give a fist bump. Ambrose pumped his fist in the air but didn’t return the fist bump to Rollins, leaving him standing there.
