Mick said Sami’s fighting for a spot in the Rumble match, but not just any spot, Seth’s spot. Rollins’ demeanor changed as he said he realizes that he needs to win tonight so he can keep his spot and win the Rumble this Sunday.

Later with Zayn on the top rope, Rollins set up for a Pedigree but Zayn blocked it and hit a Powerbomb off the corner for a close near fall. Rollins hit a huge Pedigree on the ring apron and fell to the outside himself. Rollins was able to pull himself up near the barricade and then pushed Zayn inside to get the pinfall. Before he could make the cover, Triple H’s music and theme showed on the screens on stage. Rollins was shocked and looked around for HHH to make an entrance. HHH didn’t show up and Zayn grabbed a surprise small package pinfall for the win. Post-match, Zayn celebrated while sitting on the outside. Rollins was irate and stormed up the ramp backstage.

Enzo and Big Cass came out, with Cass saying he’s officially entering the Royal Rumble and will throw 29 bodies over the top rope. Rusev came out with Lana and Jinder Mahal. Rusev trash talked Big Cass and Big E for needing to put “Big” in front of their names. He said he’s also entering the Rumble. Roman Reigns defeated Chris Jericho via disqualification in a United States Championship rematch. Kevin Owens was on guest commentary up the stage. Cole asked how Jericho can defend his title with Owens up on commentary, and Graves said Cole was disrespecting the champion with that talk. Eventually, Owens got irate and left his spot. Reigns gained control after ducking Jericho and hitting a Superman Punch. Owens got into the ring to attack Reigns, causing a disqualification. Post-match, Owens had Reigns down and called for the shark cage to be lowered down. It came down and Owens put Reigns in then started to lock it shut.

Reigns reached through the bars and yanked Owens face first into the cage. He did the same to Jericho then got out of the cage and shoved Owens inside. Reigns locked the cage shut and then watched as it was raised up. Jericho jumped up and grabbed the bottom of the cage, but Reigns hit a Superman Punch to knock him off. With Owens hanging above the ring, Reigns set up and hit a Spear on Jericho before leaving the ring.

After a commercial break, Kevin Owens was finally lowered and let out of the cage. Charly Caruso was in the ring to talk to Kevin Owens. She informed them that it was recently announced that his match this weekend will not only have Jericho in the cage above the ring, but it will also be a No Disqualification match for the Universal title. She said she’s the greatest superstar the company has ever seen. She said Bayley’s the lucky one to be here now.

Nia Jax defeated Rae Lynn via pinfall. They showed footage of Sasha doing her audition in the ring before Raw weeks ago to pass medical tests for WWE staff when Nia Jax attacked her. In the ring, Nia made quick work of the enhancement talent, tossing her into the corner and splashing her several times before making an arrogant pinfall. Charly Caruso tried to interview her in the ring post-match but Nia yanked the mic from her and ordered her to go away. Nia dedicated her victory to the recently deceased career of Sasha Banks. Nia said a month ago Sasha was the champion and now she’s nothing. She kept talking trash until Sasha’s music hit.

Sasha came out using a crutch to walk down the ramp. The commentary team questioned how smart it was for Sasha to do this while still hurt. Sasha stopped at ringside to look in at Jax. Nia stood near the ropes for a bit and then Sasha swung her crutch to hit Nia in the leg. Sasha got in the ring and kept smashing the crutch on her. She tossed the crutch at Nia and then taunted her to come get some. Nia rushed at Sasha who dropped down causing Jax to fall to the outside. From there, Sasha jumped off the apron and dropped Nia with double knees to lay her out at ringside.

Rich Swann defeated Noam Dar in a non-title match. Alexander came out first, followed by Noam who was accompanied by Alicia Fox. They showed footage of how Alicia joined forces with Dar after she used to be with Alexander. In a match that lasted nearly six minutes, Dar had a near fall after Alicia distracted Swann a bit and Dar got a kick on Swann’s face. Later, Swann was able to kick Dar late to get the pinfall. Post-match, Swann got on the mic to call out Neville. His music hit and he came to the ring and got through the ropes but pushed. Neville decided to back off and dropped to the floor. Swann took the opportunity to dive out onto Neville and threw punches at him before he rolled him back inside the ring. Neville was able to escape eventually.

Backstage after commercial, Cedric Alexander was being interviewed by Charly Caruso when Alicia Fox came screaming from off camera. She showed up with Noam Dar and told Cedric he’ll never win anything without her. Noam said he wanted to make sure there were no hard feelings for him taking his girl. Cedric smirked and said as far as Alicia goes, they’re cool, but Noam attacked him last week. Cedric shoved Noam down for that and Foxy screamed that he almost made him cry.

Goldberg made his big entrance and slapped hands with fans on the way around the ring. As he got into the ring, it was apparent he had a gash on his forehead. He was visibly bleeding on the forehead as he began to talk and screwed up his segment several times. He blamed the fans jokingly for making him screw up. He talked up how the road to the Universal Championship goes through the Royal Rumble. He said 29 other stars are gunning for a shot at the title held by either Kevin Owens or Roman Reigns. He began to tell the 29 other guys in the back “You Are…” but was interrupted by Paul Heyman. He came out to introduce himself and said he was compelled to come out and address Goldberg’s observations.

Heyman talked of all the possibilities fans might see during the Rumble including Goldberg vs. Randy Orton or Goldberg vs. Undertaker. He said it might even be Goldberg against The Beast aka “Goldberg Carnivore” Brock Lesnar. Lesnar’s music hit and the fans went wild. After several moments, Brock came out from backstage onto the stage next to Heyman. He stared at Goldberg from the ramp. Heyman kept talking it up and Goldberg interrupted. He asked if Brock was going to come to the ring like a man or stand there like a dumbass.

Lesnar went down to ringside with Heyman. After walking around outside the ring several times, Lesnar finally stepped inside to go face-to-face with Goldberg. After several moments, Undertaker’s gong sounded and the lights went out. When the lights came back on, Taker was standing in the ring looking at Brock and Goldberg. All three men continued the stare down as the lights dimmed and Raw went off the air.
