Welcome to WWE Money in the Bank 2016 results, part two! On this article, you’ll find match results for the second part of tonight’s event, including the women’s tag team match, John Cena vs. AJ Styles, and Apollo Crews versus Sheamus. Charlotte & Dana Brooke defeated Becky Lynch via pinfall. During the late part of the match, Lynch hit an exploder suplex on Charlotte and got the pinfall but Brooke came in to break it up. Lynch hit a double missile dropkick for another near fall. Later, Natalya got a Sharpshooter on Charlotte, but Brooke grabbed her hair. Brooke ran Lynch into Natalya and then Charlotte hit Natural Selection on Nattie for the pinfall win. Post-match, Lynch helped Natalya up. Natalya snapped and hit Lynch down from behind and then threw forearms at her. Natalya left the ring as the fans booed her.
Apollo Crews defeated Sheamus via pinfall. The match lasted over eight minutes total. At one point, Crews hit an overhead belly-to-belly suplex sending Sheamus over the top rope to the floor. He hit a moonsault off the ring apron onto Sheamus on the outside. Moments later, Sheamus hit Crews with punches near the ropes and then hit White Noise from the second rope for the near fall. Sheamus was frustrated over the ref’s count. While Sheamus was distracted, Crews grabbed him for the rollup pinfall.
An ad was shown for next month’s pay-per-view, WWE Battleground which takes place on July 24th from Verizon Center in Washington, DC.
AJ Styles defeated John Cena via pinfall. After both men got in the ring dueling “Let’s go Cena” and “A-J Styles” chants broke out around the arena as Cena and Styles soaked it in. The bell finally rang to start it up as they locked up with Styles getting the side headlock. Later in the match, Styles had another rest hold to take Cena to the mat, but Cena regained strength to get to his feet and fought out of it. Cena went to plant Styles with a sideslam, but Styles countered with the Enziguiri Kick. Cena finally slammed Styles and went for the Five Knuckle Shuffle after several moments but Styles took advantage of the delay to use both feet to grab Cena and send him down. He sent Cena out of the ring and then dove over the top rope onto Cena on the floor.
After some fighting on the outside, Cena gained control inside the ring and put the STF on Styles who struggled to break it. Cena went for his leg drop move off the top rope, but Styles turned it into a modified Powerbomb for a near fall which Cena barely kicked out of. Styles got up first and picked Cena up to his feet then punched on him several times. He connected on a Pele Kick and then set up for Styles Clash and hit it. Cena kicked out of another pinfall attempt there.
Cena went for Attitude Adjustment but Styles landed on his feet and went for a Pele Kick which Cena avoided. Cena went for the STF but Styles got the the ropes. Moments later, Cena had Styles up for the AA but Styles hanging foot accidentally kicked the ref down. With the ref knocked out, Gallows and Anderson came running the ring. They grabbed Cena for a double team move then placed Styles on top of him for the pinfall. After they took off, the ref got back in the ring to count the winning pin for Styles.
