Welcome to the WWE Fastlane 2017 results from the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This pay-per-view is a Raw exclusive event and will be the last PPV before WrestleMania 33. Among the big matches on the card will be Charlotte Flair challenging Bayley for the women’s title, Roman Reigns taking on Braun Strowman, and Goldberg facing Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship. Below are all of the latest results for WWE’s Fastlane pay-per-view on Sunday, March 5th, 2017!
Fastlane Kickoff Show match
Rich Swann & Akira Tozawa defeated Noam Dar & The Brian Kendrick via pinfall. Late in the match, Swann hit a super kick on Dar and then on Kendrick. Tozawa hit the Snap German Suplex to take Kendrick to the outside. Moments later, Swann climbed up the corner and hit the big Phoenix Splash for the pinfall win. He and Tozawa celebrated their pre-show win as Alicia Fox comforted the losing team.
Fastlane 2017 PPV results
Samoa Joe defeated Sami Zayn via submission. The closing moments saw Zayn gain some big momentum as he rushed at Joe in the corner. Samoa Joe grabbed him for a huge sideslam to put Zayn down on the mat. From there, he stood Zayn up and then wrapped him up to fall to the mat with the Coquina Clutch locked on. Zayn struggled for a bit but soon passed out, giving Joe the submission win.
Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson defeatedEnzo Amore & Big Cass via pinfall to retain the WWE tag team titles. Enzo and Big Cass went on a run late in the match and hit the Rocket Launcher. Enzo had what seemed like the winning pinfall, but got yanked out of the ring by Gallows. Later, Enzo flew off the side apron to take out Gallows on the outside. Back in the ring, Anderson delivered a running boot kick to level Enzo near the ropes. He took the pinfall and Enzo had a foot on the ropes but Gallows managed to shove it off before the ref could see.
Sasha Banks defeated Nia Jax via pinfall. Late in the match, Sasha had the Banks Statement locked on but Nia managed to power lift Sasha up from the mat. Moments later, Sasha ran against the ropes but Nia slammed her down and hit a big leg drop on Sasha’s back. She shook Sasha around by the hair and picked her up on her shoulders. However, Sasha escaped and managed to complete a surprising bridge pinfall to get the shocking win.
Cesaro defeated Jinder Mahal via pinfall. Jinder headed to the ring first, but Rusev’s music hit and he came down to the ring with Lana. Jinder and Rusev got into it with Jinder able to deliver a huge knee outside the ring to send Rusev into the timekeepers’ area. Cesaro’s music hit and he arrived to the ring with Sheamus for the match. Cesaro eventually captured the pinfall win and left the ring after celebrating. Rusev got into the ring and threw Mahal shoulder-first into the ringpost. Moments later, Big Show’s music hit and he arrived out for the next match against Rusev.
Big Show defeated Rusev via pinfall. Show beat up Rusev inside and outside the ring early on. Later, Rusev managed to come off the ropes and clip Show’s leg to ground him. He continued to target that leg with attacks and a hold on the mat to cause more pain. Rusev delivered several boot kicks to ground Show late in the match. He prepared to put on The Accolade but Show managed to shove him away. Moments later, Show grabbed Rusev for a chokeslam, then picked him up again for a second. The fans chanted “one more time” and after a pause, Show obliged with a third chokeslam. Show dragged Rusev over to the corner and sat him up then cocked his fist back before walking over and delivering a KO punch. Show pulled Rusev back to center ring for the pinfall.
Neville defeated Jack Gallagher via pinfall to retain the Cruiserweight title. Late in the match, Gallagher hit a huge head butt on the corner as Neville was up there. Neville managed to shove him off as Gallagher went back up. Neville managed to hit the Red Arrow a move Michael Cole said he hasn’t pulled out in some time.
Roman Reigns defeated Braun Strowman via pinfall. Reigns hit multiple Super Man punches on Strowman late but as he ran against the ropes for a big move, Braun stood in his tracks and Reigns hit the mat. With Reigns down on the mat, Strowman went out onto the apron and climbed up on the corner. He flew off for a splash but Reigns moved out of the way. Moments later, Reigns set up a Spear and tackled Strowman down to the mat for the pinfall victory.
Bayley defeated Charlotte Flair via pinfall to retain the WWE Raw Women’s title. Late in the match, Charlotte managed to knock down Bayley with a huge throw from the apron to the outside floor. Charlotte prepared for a reverse moonsault off the corner of the ring. All of a sudden, Sasha Banks rushed down to the ringside area. Charlotte went down to the ramp to fight with her and tossed Sasha into the ring. Sasha rolled back through the other side. Moments later, Bayley and Charlotte fought in the ring with Charlotte getting a pinfall but holding the tights. Sasha pointed it out to the referee who stopped counting the pinfall. Charlotte got irritated and jawed at Sasha through the ropes. That allowed Bayley to grab Charlotte and hit the Bayley-to-Belly suplex for the pinfall win, snapping Charlotte’s undefeated streak at PPVs.
Goldberg vs. Kevin Owens – WWE Universal Championship. The crowd chanted for “Goldberg” ahead of the entrances. Goldberg made his first, accompanied through the backstage halls by several officers before getting to the ramp and emerging through the sparks and smoke. Owens was out next with the Universal title belt and taunted Goldberg with it a bit ahead of the bell. JoJo made the introductions but before the ref could even ring the bell, Owens ducked out of the ring to stall things and play mind games for the start of things. Owens went back to the ring but moved back to the outside again to try to frustrate the challenger. Owens finally got back in the ring and yelled at the ref “ring the bell.” Chris Jericho’s music hit and he arrived out onto the stage with Owens visibly distracted by the entrance. The bell rang and Goldberg hit a quick spear. Moments later, he picked up Owens for the jackhammer and planted him on the mat for the 1-2-3 to win the Universal Championship.
Michael Cole played up the notion now that Goldberg will bring the Universal title to WrestleMania against Brock Lesnar. The commentary team reviewed what just went down in the Jericho arrival and Goldberg’s quick title win. The new champ celebrated with the belt on the ring corner looking towards the WrestleMania sign. Goldberg held the belt up high and posed for the crowd. He went out to the ringside area to hug his wife and son, then held the belt up again before Fastlane went off the network.
