One man from the UFC is certainly one of its more outspoken stars and that is Conor McGregor. Just recently, he was asked about the WWE and went off with his comments regarding the professional wrestling organization. McGregor also didn’t have the kindest of words for fellow UFC fighter, Brock Lesnar, who had recently been accused of “juicing” prior to his return pay-per-view with UFC.
During a conference call to promote the upcoming UFC 202 pay-per-view, McGregor was asked if he’d ever consider working in the WWE. According to TMZ, he said “I haven’t really thought about it,” McGregor said … “For the most part, those WWE guys are p**sies. They’re messed up p**sies if you ask me.”
McGregor added that he respects certain people from WWE including Triple H, The Rock and The McMahons. That’s certainly a smart answer considering the McMahons run the business and could help him transition into pro wrestling if he ever changes his mind.
He could be setting up some sort of feud with Brock Lesnar too. He was asked about the heavyweight UFC star who recently got caught “juicing” by USADA. McGregor said, “I mean fair play to Brock, he got in and fought [at UFC 200] … but at the end of the day he’s juiced up to the eyeballs … so how can I respect that?”
Due to his popularity and personality, McGregor would certainly make for an interesting wrestler if he ever does choose the WWE. However, based on those comments, he may be trying to stir the pot for some publicity by baiting the WWE wrestlers into responding.
Whether or not “The Beast” has any response to McGregor’s comments should also be interesting to see. Brock Lesnar will fight again in a WWE ring at this month’s SummerSlam pay-per-view in Brooklyn, New York, with Randy Orton challenging him.
